An upcoming, significant pay raise.
When I got my first job, I got my first car -- a spiffy brand new New Beetle. When I lost my first job, I managed to hold on to my car for a while, but eventually lost it to the Repo Man. When I got my current job, I also got a 10% garnishment on my wages, going to pay for the spiffy repossessed Beetle.

I called the Sheriff's office today, and found out that the end is near -- the remaining balance is less than one pay period's gross pay, so it's about 10 pay period's garnishment's left. After which, the car will be payed off, and the garnishment will go away.

The net effect, of course, is a significant jump in my take-home pay, by about 15%.

This should kick in in about 20-22 weeks.
